Hello everybody,

I am trying to emulate two nodes:- "left" and "right", with the configuration as given in "src/tap-bridge/examples/lxc-left.conf".

Everything went well till the step of creating containers. After executing  "sudo lxc-create -n left -f lxc-left.conf" i am getting this error: "lxc_container: lxc_create.c: main: 271 Error creating container left". I am not able to figure out any possible reason for this error.
Kindly advice me with any possible solutions to overcome this error.

Thanking You

Hi! I'm not an Ubuntu user (don't know if this solution is a true solution to the problem), and my english is not so well, so excuse me if I do mistakes writing this message.
I had the same problem. My solution was typing into the terminal these lines :

  sudo lxc-create -n left -f /home/luigi/repos/ns-3-allinone/ns-3-allinone/ns-3-dev/src/tap-bridge/examples/lxc-left.conf -t /usr/share/lxc/templates/lxc-ubuntu

  sudo lxc-create -n right -f /home/luigi/repos/ns-3-allinone/ns-3-allinone/ns-3-dev/src/tap-bridge/examples/lxc-right.conf -t /usr/share/lxc/templates/lxc-ubuntu

the creation of containers worked fine, but I don't know if this solution is compatible with the tutorial, and if it will work with ns-3. The difference with the lines in the tutorial is that here I expressed to create a container using a template based on ubuntu.
After creation, typing " $ sudo lxc-ls " it shows "left   right" just as the tutorial says.
Now I'm trying this solution and verify if it works with ns-3.,
hope it will help.

Hi,

thanks for the heads-up. That HowTo is a bit old and it should be updated a bit. We'll do it as soon as we can.

Cheers,

T.
