Hello everyone,

If I have 4  Wi-Fi (WIFI_STANDARD_80211a) nodes in ad-hoc mode: wifiMac.SetType ("ns3::AdhocWifiMac");
Which type of WifiPhyHelper should I use? considering that there is any coexistence of other network technologies.

I have read about
and
I know that they are frameworks that help to define Phy layer and the channel that will be used. But I couldn't understand very much the difference between them and when to use one or another.

Regards.

Hi

YanswifiPhyHelper is specified for IEEE802.11P(DSRC) STANDARD. It is used for WAVE communication whereas other is to provide wireless access for WiFi networks.

Yans can be used if there are no coexistence aspects to the simulation
(i.e., if you are not trying to do LTE-LAA or NR-U simulations or
anything else involving non-Wi-Fi signals on the channel). Yans should
be faster to execute because it doesn't have to split the signal into
multiple sub-bands.
