Dear all,

I am currently looking into the implementation of frequency reuse schemes and as such into the NS-3 LTE implementations.
After some investigation, I am struggling to analyze some mechanics and would be really happy if some of you could offer me some hints as to where I have to look.

Consider a three cell scenario with a simple hard-frequency reuse scheme.
As far as I understand this system, if configured correctly, no interference between each cell should occur as the available RBGs are non-overlapping.
In this case, basically no interference can occur since transmissions inside the sector are scheduled and the transmissions outside the sector are out-of-band.

I would like to change some behaviors of an existing scheduler and as such want to make sure that no interference occurs and the RBGs are split correctly.

Now to my question:
Where is the UL SINR calculated and by that I mean the first time signals are classified as interference.
I found several instances where the SINR is used to calculate CQIs and other stuff, but I am really struggling to find the flow for the interference calculation.

Can someone point me to the integral part of the LTE model for the SINR calculation? I imagine it should be close to the chunk processor modules.
Are the UL SINR/CQI reports always wide-band and don't take frequency reuse into account?

I am grateful for each and every answer.

Best regards,
Leonard
