I am a newbie. I ran a  simple LTE  simulation in ns3 with one eNodeB and many UEs. I got three trace files for RLC, MAC and PDCP as a result of that. How can i compute the throughput and packet loss and which tracefiles do i have to look at?

you can compute throughput from any of the three trace files that you mentioned. It is straightforward if you look at the format of those traces:

Nicola,

Thanks for your response. I want to see the throughput and packet loss at command prompt. So, I am thinking of scripts that can read the trace files and then display the results at command prompt. I believe Radio bearers stats calculator file can help, but don't know how to use it.

Thanks

Hi,
I am new in ns3. I want to calculate DL RLC layer throughput. I just add
RxBytes of a particular IMSI over a certain period of time (1s) from the
DlRlcStats.txt file.

1. Am I doing correct?

2. Is it RxBytes (DlRlcStats.txt) from eNodeB to UE or from Remote host to UE
at the time of using EPC?

Thank you and apology if any mistake.

I think so

RLC stats are measured from the transmitting RLC entity to the receiving RLC entity.

Hello Sir, can you help me to compute the throughput and packet loss using these tracefiles( RLC, MAC, PDCP)?
