Pygraphviz is required by the visualizer module and could not be found (NS3.40, Ubuntu 22.04)

Holla, I'm dzaki, I have problem when try to running manet-routing-compare.cc in scratch dir. I use this command: "./ns3 run scratch/manet-routing-compare --vis" , but the error message appear:
[0/2] Re-checking globbed directories...
ninja: no work to do.
Pygraphviz is required by the visualizer module and could not be found
Command 'build/scratch/ns3.40-manet-routing-compare-default --SimulatorImplementationType=ns3::VisualSimulatorImpl' returned non-zero exit status 1.

Actually I already enabled Pyvhiz and also python bindings, please, help me. Appreciate that, Thanks a lot.

Hi,

pygrpahviz is a python package - you should install it in your system (and this step depends on how you're using your python, e.g., if you use a virtual env).

You can find it here: https://pygraphviz.github.io, but I believe you can use pip to install it.

Sorry if I don't give you the exact command, but it depends on your system and how you're using it.

Hi mr Tommaso, thanks for your answer, but I already following this link : https://ubuntu.pkgs.org/22.04/ubuntu-universe-amd64/python-pygraphviz-doc_1.7-3build1_all.deb.html and also this link: https://kb.databricks.com/libraries/install-pygraphviz

but its failed, I'm so confused, why its always unable to locate package. Its my command wrong?? thanks

Thanks mr Tom and mr Tommaso, its already solved, my bad for not include additional repository, after I include with :

$ sudo add-apt-repository main

$ sudo add-apt-repository universe

$ sudo add-apt-repository restricted

$ sudo add-apt-repository multiverse


source : https://itslinuxfoss.com/unable-locate-package-error-ubuntu/

Its solved, and not Unable to locate package anymore, and I can install pygraphviz and also run manet-routing-compare.cc using --vis. Thanks for the attention and suggestions.
