Hello everyone,

I am trying to implement a Rate Adaptation Algorithm but I need certain parameters to compute the latency of a packet like

1) Hardware queuing delay (i.e., time spent by a packet in NetDevice queue).
2) How often a frame at the head of the software queue (in tc layer) is scheduled to the hardware queue (NetDevice queue).
3) How often a frame at the head of the hardware queue is scheduled to the transmission.
4) The number of simultaneous first attempt packets appearing together at the Queue.
5) MAC layer overheads.

Could you please help me in calculating these parameters from ns-3.

Thanks,
Kemanth

Hello Kemanth,

Greetings!

I'm currently involved in calculating the various delays contributing to latency (like, queuing delay, remainder delay, transmission line delay, pkt processing line delay). Have you succeeded in your case, it will be so helpful if you share your inputs on performing these activities.

Thanks,
Vignesh!
