how to caculate the occupancy rate of 802.11 radio

I want to analyse the multi-users in 802.11,

so I write a script which number of sta will growth in a loop， finally I   figure out the throughput.

I need to analyse why the throughput droped，how to compute the occupancy of the radio ，or how can I caculate the time of backoff ？？
