Dear all,
 I have found in the configuration of ns3 lena as 1ms for SimTime. I want to know why this small value is specified for ns3 and I have known that long simulation time can give more reliable. In some simulators such as LTESim, SimTime is defined as 46 sec or 120 sec and just transmission time interval is defined as 1 ms.
Please , explain my confusion.

Thank you;
looking forward nice reply

Hi,

the time for each simulation can be changed to whatever you like.
The simulation time for each example is set to be long enough to show what the example was meant to show, and not longer. This is to avoid unnecessary long simulations.
Of course the length of each simulation is a difficult parameter to choose, and it depends on what is the phenomenon you are trying to measure. However, be sure that you can freely use longer simulation times, even days if you want (be prepared to wait in this case).

Have fun,

T.
