[question] LTE handover and trigger a module question

guys, I really want to thank you for helping me with the ns3 LTE module documentation , I'm also reading a book here but when I was reading the module documentation , the automatic handover is unpredictable, but I want to know is there a way in the simulator to know if a UE is near a handover zone I can activate the wifi module

Hi,

as far as I know LTE handover is network initiated. As a consequence, the UE doesn't really know when the handover will take place. The handover may be triggered also to achieve a higher network optimization. I.e., the network may start an handover also when the UE is perfectly fine with its current serving eNB. This may result in [apparent] random handover: the UE doesn't know why the network ordered it, but so it is.

Perhaps what you should look for isn't "when I'm about to do an handover", but "when I'm about to loose connectivity".

I'm sorry , i didnt write correctly my question, i was using an iphone

I want to implement a network assisted wifi communication , when a ramdom UE is about to "loose connecticity" i.e. (Bad quality signal ,overcrowded cell , etc) i want to start the WiFi module with a random SSID and a random Password with another UE in the same cell or another cell, this will be coordinated by using a "Assisted Server" in the EPC model (They will access ), I'm very possitive about this, i have 3 month to work in this simulation

Is it possible in this simulator?
in case of being possible, what modules or documentation should i read?
