I am working on an assignment with ns3, and one of the tasks is to increase the time interval in setattributes for different bitrate. For 5 Mbps, it is 0.016 s for packets, each of size 1000 bytes.
However, from the results, out of 12500 packets, only 8119 are received.

Is there a way to reduce the packet loss, to improve the result?

Thank you.

Either they were lost, or they are in a buffer somewhere in the stack. If you are measuring this with flow monitor, make sure to call  flowmon->CheckForLostPackets() at the end of your simulation.

It seems that it stops receiving packets around 12 seconds after the simulation starts, or around 8000 packets. It looks like the receiver buffer is overfloated. I tried to increase the buffer size, but it did not work.
