Hi Ashok Kumar,
I am Linh from NTU University (Singapore). I am currently working on fat-tree topology and I found a lot of your related posts in ns3 google group. Therefore if you don't mind, may I ask you some simple questions about the coding? If you are busy or not interested in this, please kindly ignore this email.
Firstly, I see that you used Click Module for the simulation. But I see some others use OpenFlow instead. So what is the difference between Click and OpenFlow? And do they work the same for the fat-tree?
Secondly, should I use CSMA or Point-to-point? Since nowadays real Network channel link mostly are point-to-point, so I tend to point-to-point, but I see most people still use CSMA in ns3.
Thirdly, I have problem with subnet IP addressing. As an edge switch connect to a number of hosts, and each connection is a separate net device, so different IP address for each of them. In such way, it is not possible to create a proper subnet as I want. You have any idea about this?
I would really appreciate if you can help me on this, I have been stuck with this for few days already!!
Regards,
Linh
