Greetings all. I am a PhD student using NS3 and C++ for the first time. I have created a working topology but all traffic created is predictable using.

Has anyone in their travels come across or developed a random packet generator that they could forward my way?

Ideally it would generate random packet sizes at random times and send this packets from a random source to a random destination.

I appreciate that I am asking a lot but my current knowledge level of C++ is basic at best despite my efforts to educate myself as we speak.

Any advice or examples would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Konstantinos

Hi

There is currently one such 'random' generator under review

Hi there and thank you for the link and the quick response. This patch assuming I can implement it sounds perfect for what I am trying to implement.

I am assuming that I would need to download all the files and replace their current counterparts in my installation of NS3 with these ones?

Thanks again,

Douglas
