Satellite Communication Scenario

Hi,

I'm currently looking for network simulations integrating satellite based network communications.

The current scenario I want to investigate is bandwidth and troughput of a large amount nodes that communicate (IP) via satellite to a "server". I would like to inspect the link level (collisions, signal strength, packet flow etc.) in order to make performance assumptions.

Is this possible with NS-3 and the SNS3-Module?
