Calculate Energy in NS3 for 802.15.4 devices

Dear all,

I am using NS3 Simulator with LrWpan module, i created several node with 802.15.4 device but whene i search how to calculate the energy of the nodes i didn't find how ?
Can i calculate the Energy with 802.15.4 devices ?

Hi,

nope, you can't yet do that.

Two reasons:

1) the Energy model isn't integrated in lr-wpan yet.

2) it would be useless anyway, as the current model keeps the radio always active (either in Rx or Tx state). As a consequence, the energy consumption would be totally unrealistic.

Both limitations are planned to be removed in the future.
