Hi all,

I want to add a new flag to the hello messaage. This flag is just 1 bit (either 0 or 1). Is it possible to use the reserved field that is in the hello message for such purpose?
Thanks in advance

Hi,

For simulations and evaluation purposes, yes you can do it.
However, if you want to be standard compliant, then probably no.
You would have to persuade IETF to 'give' you that field.

K.
