how to get the position of a node when it is sending a mac frame

I 'm doing some research on the mac-layer of wifi ad-hoc network.

I need to print the position when the node is sending a mac frame, but as far as I know, the GetPosition function is not available on mac layer.

I should transmit the pointer of the node into mac layer?

Is there anyway for me to realize this in high layer?
