WAVE and ITS G5 Protocol comparisions

Hello Everyone,

I am new to NS3 and I am working on my thesis, the part of my thesis is also to compare two protocols which are IEEE 802.11P WAVE and ITS G5.

The comparison of the protocol is not possible with my hardware implementation  so I thought it would be better to simulate the protocols and compare the results

the problem is that I am very new and I don't know how to start this implementation.

I have installed the ns3 with Linux Ubuntu 16.04LTS and would like a help of the community

Kindly post whatever solution you can offer. it is my side task so I am not willing to put a lot of time with simulation but if there is some very good solution I might put up some more effort ;)

Dear Ali,

I would recommend first to do a comprehensive study of the literature to understand the differences of the two standards.

Be aware that in ns-3 (main codebase) there is an implementation of the IEEE WAVE stack, but not for ETSI ITS-G5.

Thank you for the reply.

I have already gone through many documentation for the ITS G5 and WAVE and i have a little information about specification about these topics.

but I really don't know how to implement it on ns3.

if anyone does the comparison like this then it would be really nice.
