How to attach an NS-3 object to a real physical wireless interface

Hello,

I hope everyone is doing well, i'm currently trying to use ns3 in order to connect it to a real wireless interface. I know that it is possible with an ethernet interface. I found some examples, however I didn't find where to start when I want to connect it to the wireless one. 

I tried to modify fd-emu-ping.cc in order to use the wireless interface instead of the ethernet one it didn't work which lead me to think that maybe the EmuFdNetDeviceHelper class  attach FdNetDevice  object with only ethernet real interfaces... I'm not sure so I really want to confirm this if it's possible. I don't know  all the ns3 classes. I'm very new to it !!
