Hello,

I was wondering whether someone tried to work on LTE-WiFi coexistence in NS3. Is it possible to make an eNodeB transmit on both channels at the same time?

Many thanks,
Ursula

Hi Ursula,

You can find hundreds of similar questions in the ns-3-users mailing list. The answer is yes, it is possible to have this type of heterogeneous network but it would require some modifications particularly to implement the protocol stack connection between the Wifi and LTE.
Installing two network devices on a node (enb, ue, ap) is the easiest part, but implementing the connection (signalling and data) is not available. It documented in 3GPP reports and several research article, you will need to select one and implement it, step-by-step.

Hello,

Thanks a lot for your reply, Konstantinos.
I am a new user to NS-3, so I was wondering whether some I can find a source code/example for a simple network with such capability (two network devices on a node).

Cheers,
Ursula

Have you read the tutorial?
In the third.cc you can have a node with WiFi and P2P network device and another with p2p and csma.
