RTP implemenation on NS3

Dear all,

What is the best way to implement a protocol on NS3? I need to set up RTP streams between various nodes, and would like to get wireshark dumps showing RTP traffic details.
Would creating packets conforming with the RTP definition suffice to simulate such protocol on NS3? And are there any settings which would enable wireshark to flag such pacets as RTP?

yes I think so. If you do it, please consider contributing your model to the community! Please see this link: http://www.nsnam.org/developers/contributing-code/

you can do that easily from wireshark, just right-click on a packet that you know is RTP, select "Decode As" and then select RTP.
