issues with waf of fresh ns-3-dev on ubuntu 14.04 g++ version 4.8.4

I am having issues compiling a fresh ns-3-dev on Ubuntu 14.04 running g++ 4.8.4. The error log can be found at https://gist.github.com/lordlabakdas/67633c70ebdcdabf05611ffc4db18a12.

Is there something I am missing in my configuration?

It is likely that the problem is that g++4.8 is no longer supported (minimal version is 4.9).
