I tried to run this code in ns3.26. It is working fine. 

And for your information, the same is not working under ns3.35

You may be trying to run a simulation script (.cc file) that was developed in a different version of ns-3.
Or simply you have upgraded ns-3 recently.

The implementation of 'wifi-helper' differ little in different versions and may cause this kind of errors.

So you may try to compile it in the original ns3 version in which you have developed it.
