How to use Tcp Socket Base

I am looking to trace or at least figure out how to get the RTT and Window size in order to calculate the throughput while using the Tcp protocol. It seems that the TcpSocketBase has a lot of what I need for doing this, but I can't find any articles on how to use it. Would anyone be able to steer me in the right direction? Thank you for your time.

This is an example of getting the Congestion Window trace source.

Also the /examples/tcp/tcp-variants-comparison.cc is another example using the trace sources of TCP such as RTT, RTO...
