Hi,

I am new to ns3 and I would like to evaluate tthe performance of TCP over LTE and X2 handover. I have relied on lena-x2-hanover-measures.cc provided by src/lte/examples as shown in the attachment, but CwndChange() isn't triggered. Am I working towards the right direction? I am using ns3.30

Thanks,
ktsik

Hello, I created a lab exercise for a class last winter on this topic.
You can see the writeup here:
https://depts.washington.edu/funlab/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Experiment_3_LTE.pdf

It relies on some small extensions that are not in the mainline release.
The repository for this course is found at:

https://gitlab.com/tomhenderson/ns-3-ee-595

and you should use the 'course' branch.

hi sir i am an academic staff, i  want to do my simulation using NS2. with the area of vanet for preventing vehicle accidents by creating v2v and v2i communication. what your recommendation for me please. if you have idea, resource, sample source code please help me. thanks

Hi Tom,

Following your instructions, I have downloaded your code and run successfully the script which produces the results as explained in your pdf.  Many thanks for your help, it is highly appreciated!

Hi Tom,

Could you please specify how did you get the information of throughput vs time in LTE handover described in your pdf (Experiment_3_LTE.pdf)? I saw the corresponding figure (fig. 2), but I can't figure out how the actual data displayed in that figure were retreived. The trace file ‘DlMacStats.txt' contains only the transport block size which is 2196, but this corresponds to the max throughput of 17.6Mbps, not the actual throughput vs time variations displayed in fig.2 of the document.

Also is it possible to get the cwnd variations over time for this experiment?

Many thanks,
Ktsik

Hi

We have managed to get the traces of the cwnd variations for this simulation (LTE handover), so please ignore the second question related to this thread.

Thanks,
Ktsik

Thank you Tom..  I just run the lte handover on TCP example. It works.

Kind regards
