NetAnim Sim Time

For some weird reason my NetAnim sim time does not reflect the simulation time especially above 50 seconds. Does any one else experience this?
I'm running Manet_routing_compare on an Ubuntu machine. I don't have another machine to compare against, I'm at wits end with this issue. The time generally corresponds with experiments that runs up to around 65 seconds. Once the simulation time is altered in NS3 to say 100 seconds, the output in NetAmin completes at around 30 seconds leaving me to imagine how the rest of the experiment went!

Any help will be appreciated, meanwhile I'll look for a MAC, perhaps its a software issue?

I think there is an implicit packet limit per trace file you might be hitting. #define, MAX_PKTS_PER_TRACE_FILE 100000
For high volume traffic which results in large trace files, NetAnim is not the right tool to visualize, unless you filter out unwanted packets at the source.

I initially replied agreeing with your hypothesis but decided to check first, turns out you were right. Its all sorted now. Been driving me nuts, I hadn't realised I was exceeding the max packets per trace. I may have to redo a load of simulation but I can sleep better at night.
Thank you John.

Hey John,

Perhaps hitting MAX_PACKETS should be reported on cerr?

I think that it is actually outputted ("Max packets per trace exceeded") or something, however it is quickly moved away by other results and hence not noticed.

Maybe I should abort execution by default, since this is a frequent issue hit by users.
