maximum bandwidth in ns3 in fd-emu

Hello,

I am working on sending real traffic through ns3 by using real devices externally. I am using fd-emu examples. 

I ran iperf3 bandwidth measuring performance tests on 2 devices with traffic passing through Ubuntu 16.04 desktop on which ns3 is running. According to that, I only got UDP maximum bandwidth supported as 19Mbps without packet loss. 

My questions are:

1. Is this the maximum bandwidth that ns3 can support?

2. Does this depend on the capacity of Ubuntu machine on which ns3 is running?

3. what are the ways where I can improve the bandwidth?
