How to compare two trace file

Hi,

I have an ns3  program that is writing some information to set of nodes  . Then I modularised the same program  there is a 15 % difference in the result after modularisation . To find out the difference I have traced both modularised and original ns3 program. My question is how can I able to compare two trace file or what would be the best method to find out the difference in out put , I mean the metric I have to use to compare the result.
