Hi all,
The ns-3 network simulator project is participating in Google Summer of Code 2026. This will be our 17th year of participation in this program.
Contributors will be seeking to develop project ideas and applications. For any prospective contributors reading this, please read our contributor guide [1] to get started, and start to interact with mentors and to review our ideas list [2]. Anyone interested in participating in GSoC 2026 with ns-3 is encouraged to reach out to us on our Zulip chatroom [3], that's the best way to ask your questions.
For developers/maintainers, please note that there will be three categories of projects (small-sized-- roughly 90 hours, medium-sized-- roughly 175 hours, and large-sized-- roughly 350 hours). Please help on the list with queries from the contributors as they seek help in developing applications, and later, with code reviews.
Thanks and Regards
Tommaso Pecorella and Mohit P. Tahiliani
