I would assume so, actually there was a decent amount of snow last weekend.  I was up there on Sunday, Jan 24, and the trails behind the lake, Jungle and Old Turnpike had between 6” and 8” of snow.  There were ski tracks and no exposed patches.  With last night’s snow dump, I can only imagine that it would be really nice up there today, though I have no idea about the road conditions to get there.  I wish I didn’t have to work today…get out there and make me jealous!

I called Mountain Lake Lodge at 1pm.

They said there was 2" new snow last night and a fair amount on the ground. And snowing a bit up there.

They said Rd 700 (one from Blacksburg side) was  iffy. He said he drove up in a 4wd and was sliding a bit at 10am.
