Hi Peeps,
Hope all is dandy with you all!! As you know last night was the first night of Basic and WOW!!! what an amazing class...79 students and the energy in the room was palpable!! This group took off right from the get-go...we have an awesome staff and Chuck is sooooo brilliant!!!

So, on to the support part of this email. I need your support in finding Toastmaster meetings for next week. There is one on Monday night, however I really want to be at our team meeting (last one AND pizza and beer that I helped win!!!). If any of you know of a friend/family member/acquaintance, etc... that knows of anyone and so on... Please pass that info on to me. I need to attend two next week.

If I can be of any support to any of you in reaching your goals or for any other reason, please let me know.

Good luck on this and if I can assist, let me know. I am not familiar with Toastmaster other than the name and reputation.

 

However, if you need tips on getting up in front of people speaking and etc without alcohol, let me know and I will volunteer my time!

Yay Karen!  I've been a member of toastmasters for years, and been to a couple of meetings around LV.  The toastmasters website has a list of all of the meetings

I will be happy to go with you to any meeting this week or in the future.

No need to be nervous, all you have to do is show up.  To fully participate, I recommend that when you do arrive, volunteer to take on a simple role like timekeeper (time people's speeches), or "ahh  counter" (count peoples ahh's, umms, and other fller words).  To participate you will just introduce yourself at beginning of meeting and explain your role.  At end of meeting you report the results.  It's a way to practice public speaking without preparing a speech.

Keep in mind that a lot of people go to toastmasters precisely because they have difficulty public speaking.  So it covers a wide range of abilities.  And the meetings are usually very friendly and open
