Hi folks,

Thank to those who have completed our survey. It will help to define energy education!

Here is a position posting from our friend and colleague Kale Harbick. Kale is doing research at Cornell and is seeking a research assistant. He is thoughtful enough to consider our grads. See below.

Cornell's Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) research group has a couple of new projects starting up, and we are looking for additional help with energy modeling and/or modeling software.  The projects involve energy modeling for greenhouses and indoor growing facilities.  The funding is for 1 year to start, with possible extension depending on funding and performance.  The only hard qualification is a 4 year degree, because the university requires it for this type of position.  I would encourage anyone with experience in energy modeling to apply.  Experience in software development or hardware (e.g. raspberry pi or arduino) is a big plus.

Cornell is located upstate in Ithaca, NY, a town of about 30,000 people.  Most of the year is very similar climate to Eugene, but harsher winters with lots of snow.  It's a fairly rural area and lots of outdoor stuff to do, but the city is just 4 hours away if you want some excitement.
