Hi, everyone -- I've been heartened by the strong response we've already received to the sign-on letter to Northeastern governors, asking them to stand firm against all zombie pipelines.  Due to various feedback and strategic considerations:

- The new sign-on deadline is 11pm on Monday, April 7th to give local municipal boards and others time to go through their approval processes;

- We are opening the letter up to farms and businesses, as well as other groups; and

- We may send the letter when we reach 200 or 250 valid sign-ons if the timing seems strategically advantageous, but we will continue to allow groups to sign (we already have just about 130 from across the region).

April 5th Protests: Many of us live far from the urban centers that are holding "hands off" rallies and similar protests on April 5th.  We'd like to encourage standouts in all of the towns along all of the proposed routes of all of the zombie pipelines.  Please take a picture and post to social media with the hashtags #peopleoverpipelines (along with others you might like to include).

Reminder: We are not signing people on as individuals, so if you signed as "self" or similarly, please resubmit your form on behalf of a group, farm, or business, if you are able to.

Thank you all -- sorry we aren't reconnecting under better circumstances -- yet!

P.s.  We have updated the letter to include mention of Maine's high heat pump and solar energy adoption rates and to reflect pushback in Connecticut against the NED pipeline project.  We don't expect to make any further changes unless there is a major news event that we determine can't go unmentioned.
