This is further to the discussion initiated by Ballu about the knots that
could be tied for joining two ropes for an abseil. Am attaching an
interesting study about the same.

Hi Guys,

Heres one more..document with illustrations about backing up an ATC
based abseil system using a French Prusik..& also ascending up using
a Kleimheist.

Hi Guys,

Attached along is a zip file containing images of how to increase
friction in a descender ( fig of 8, ATC)with an additional carabiner
while using a thin ( 8mm-9mm ) rope.
