I have desperately been trying to publicise this issue
Norithesterone (NE) 5mgs TDs is used for postponing menstruation and in mennorhaiga
The problems are .
1.
This level of NE is equivlalent to 30 Micrograms of oestrogen ( NE breaks down to Oestrogen) . so anyone who is contraindicated the COC should not have
NE in this dose
EG WOMAN OVER 35 WHO SMOKE
Women who have a BMI over 35 who smoke
Women who have had a DVT
Women with focal migraines
Probably also women over 45 etc etc etc particularly if BMI is over 30
2.
This level of NE is equivalent to giving 45 POP daily with the accompanying side effects of headache mood changes increased appetite etc
Please please disseminate this as widely as you can

I cant find anything about this though

Subject: Important information regarding Methotrexate sc injection
Hi Everyone,
We have just received the information below from Helen Day (Pharmacist, Morriston Hospital) re methotrexate sc injection. Apologies
if this doesn’t apply to your practice – we just wanted to make sure that we didn’t miss anyone.
From 1st July 2014 methotrexate for sc injection will be supplied from the manufacturers (Medac) as a single dose pre-filled pen (rather than
the current syringe).
Those patients who receive their supplies of methotrexate injection from acute care
will have been informed about the change and offered training on the new product
already.
Medac have supplied information booklets which clearly describe
the administration instructions and also give a link to a video on the internet (www.metoject.co.uk).
These will be
sent to practices over the next week or so. You can get additional copies sent out to you by replying to this email.
Arrangements
have also been made on a local basis - offering training or information, so your patients
may have already been informed by these means.
