Dear Colleague

Our newest case study, part of the module on Depression in young people is now available (the closing date is 4 March 2016):

¨        Claire is a 14 year old who feels ‘down’, tired and irritable and has lost interest in many of the things she previously enjoyed. There appears to be no obvious trigger to her issues.

What more do you need to know?

Do you use any tools to help with a diagnosis?

What would you like to do ideally? Is this available to you?

¨        David is 16 and has recently become a patient of yours. He has previously been treated for depression with paroxetine and says he can feel himself ‘slipping back down the slope’.

Would you consider re-starting his medication?

What would you do next?
