RCGP Wales Leadership Programme 2016 /2017
‘Leaders for the Future’
Applications for the 2016 / 2017 Leadership programme are now being accepted from Welsh GPs in their first 5 years of practice
Have you considered applying for a FREE place on the RCGP Wales Leadership Programme?
The closing date for applications is: Friday 15th April 2016
The programme philosophy of learning through experience uses integrated development methods and a variety of individual and group settings, both of which focus on practical applications which has proved to be highly successful over the past 3 years.
The Leadership Programme format consists of:
Date: Thursday 16th and Friday 17th June 2016: A 2 day ‘whole group’ study block (start of programme)
Date: Wednesday 22nd or Thursday 23rd or Friday 24th June 2016: Individual 1 to 1 Coaching sessions (90 minutes duration) with the Course Director on one of the dates mentioned
Date: Tuesday 12th July 2016: Action Learning Set 1 (whole group)
Date: Friday 9th September 2016: Action Learning Set 2 (whole group)
Date: Friday 7th October 2016: Action Learning Set 3 (whole group)
Date: Monday 7th or Tuesday 8th or Wednesday 9th November 2016: Individual 1 to 1 Coaching sessions, (90 minutes duration) with the Course Director on one of the dates mentioned
Date: Wednesday 7th December 2016: Action Learning Set 4 (whole group)
Date: Friday 3rd February 2017: Action Learning Set 5 (whole group)
Date: Tuesday 21st or Wednesday 22nd or Thursday 23rd February 2017: Individual 1 to 1 Coaching sessions, (90 minutes duration) with the Course Director on one of the dates mentioned
Date: Wednesday 8th March 2017: Final Study Block (whole group)
Note: the venues for the above meetings have yet to be confirmed
There is no cost to RCGP Members for this programme which will commence on Thursday 16th June 2016, as mentioned above.
Non RCGP Member enquiries should be addressed directly to RCGP Wales (nicola....@rcgp.org.uk) as becoming a member before the end of the programme would be required.
To register please complete the ‘Leaders for the Future’ application form (see attached). All completed application forms should be returned to Nicola Edmunds at Regus House, Falcon Drive, Cardiff Bay, Cardiff CF10 4RU or via email to nicola....@rcgp.org.uk before 15th April 2016.
At the beginning of May 2016 all applicants will be advised whether they have been successful in securing a place as candidate numbers are limited to 10.
