Git vs. Hg vs. Subversion

About a year and a half ago, there was a request in the issue tracker to move the source control to Mercurial (Hg). At the time I preferred Hg but have been using Git almost exclusively for the past year and have gotten pretty comfortable with it. More to the point, I much prefer using git for handling feature branching, local branches, and pull request rather than the subversion branch-per-release process.

Google Code now supports Git. What does everyone think about switching over to git for source control

I'm definitely for the switch to Git.  It's certainly a better choice for this kind of project in my mind.  I'm also happy to take on the technical task of moving the project if needed.
