RDR granules

Hi (again),

Another, more easy question perhaps.
Currently we get three aggregated RDR files for each NPP pass (one for
each instrument, VIIRS, CrIS, ATMS). But I would like one instrument
file for each granule, and feed them to many CSPP instances to speed
up processing.

I thought getting RDR granules was the default, but apparently it
isn't with RT-STPS? I have to say I know nothing yet about RT-STPS.
But do I really have to learn that as well? It is enough with ADL and
CSPP in my taste.

So, is it easy setting up RT-STPS to give you granules instead of
aggregated swaths?

Also, Christelle, you said something about that CSPP needs both the
granule before the actual and the granule after to make the VIIRS SDR
granule. Is that so?

Hi Adam,

The CSPP Team has modified the package behaviour in its last release:
"The VIIRS SDR software will now attempt to process all available granules in a direct broadcast pass, instead of automatically skipping the first and last granules.
This will improve the yield of granules processed, however some granules will contain missing data."

So there should be less data loss for DB users.

Christelle
