Shaping Our Future: The 2024 Election and Environmental Policy: Wed Oct 9 from 4 to 6pm in the Honors Center

As the 2024 U.S. elections approach, the future of our environmental and climate justice policies that impact both people and the planet hangs in the balance. Whether under President Donald Trump or Kamala Harris, and depending on the control of Congress, the outcomes will significantly shape our planet’s future.

You’re invited to this interactive, engaging scenario planning-style event. It will consist of small group discussions, allowing attendees to explore and share their thoughts, hopes, and fears about the 2024 Election. Join us in imagining and walking through near-future scenarios based on the election outcome and congressional control: what might change, and what will be necessary to work towards? In the 2018 midterms, only 36% of voters aged 18-29 participated, compared to 66% of voters aged 60 and older. Together, we can shape the world we want to leave for future generations. Don’t miss this opportunity to make a difference and join the movement for a sustainable future!
