Update and Event Notices

Construction update: The broken concrete near the main entrance has
been removed, and the underlying tree roots are less of a problem than
anticipated. We expect to begin official construction in the next few
weeks, so the drinking fountain should be in by summer! Also, we have
initial approval to add a double-entry gate on the entrance (like most
other dog parks), so that should also help with safety.

A couple of dog-related events are coming up:

1) Canine Companions for Independence is holding a fundraiser event in
Balboa Park.

2) If you are also a Fiesta Island dog beach user, there is another
public workshop to discuss the development plans on March 22nd at
6:30pm in the Balboa Club Ballroom. More information is at
