Job Description

PROGRAM MANAGER – GAMING

NetHope is seeking a Program Manager to support a serious social
gaming USAID program related to the launching of the new USAID Global
Broadband and Innovations (GBI) Alliance. This position reports
directly to the Chief of Party and will serve in a full time capacity
as a consultant to the USAID program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead the USAID program including the day to day management of the
program, overseeing sub-contracting and sub-granting.
• Coordinate and lead program functions from start-up of the program
to close-out.
• Monitor program performance in assigned areas. Provide updates and
analysis to management through regular reporting.
• Write, edit and review programmatic progress reports to ensure
quality and timely submission to donors. Regularly track project
progress and indicators to assess impact and to ensure client
deliverables are met.
• Assist with the management of project budgets, expenditures, project
sub-awards and contracts to ensure compliance with donor rules and
regulations as well as NetHope’s financial guidelines. Assist with
tracking internal financial performance.
• Investigate problems and design solutions related to project
implementation and overall management of program finances, field
personnel, and donor relations.
• Work with existing NetHope team members to facilitate cross agency
collaboration and innovation.
• Assist in identifying and hiring consultants.
• Undertake other duties and projects as may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in international relations, economics, political
sciences or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in program management.
• Experience in program management, financial analysis and budgeting
(USAID experience preferred).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; familiarity with
writing work plans, donor reports, and other program management
documents. (USAID experience preferred)
• Experience in serious social gaming or game development
(preferred).
• Experience in international development or working abroad
(preferred).
• Experience with programs engaging mobile devices. (preferred)
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced
team environment and meet conflicting deadlines.
• Fluency in English, written and oral.
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational skills; accuracy, attention to detail.
• Ability to travel internationally between 10-15% of the time
• U.S. Work Authorization
• Located in Washington, DC (preferred)
