All I wanted to send a follow up to our board meeting from today and what was discussed.
Financials. We currently have roughly $2400 in the account. We have at a minimum 6 weeks until 3rd quarter dues will be collected, leaving roughly $1800 in the account. This is unfortunately the lowest balance range we have been at for some time.
We currently average roughly $1300/ quarter in out going expenses, before any funds that are ear marked for the scholarships, events or addition donations to charity
The board agreed that we will be pausing all charitable donations until we can increase the balances. With our current membership, unexpectedly dropping to 10- 11 members, we would be at a deficit for expenses moving forward (quarterly dues will not cover expenses)
How we can fix this issue is quite simple, we need more members. We discussed this in previous years (coming out of the pandemic) and the minimum number that we should carry would be 15. This allows us to function, but limits us to additional donations and events.
I know that we all were a little shocked at the loss of members over the last 4 months. As we discussed, we can only celebrate those that have new opportunities and thank them for their participation and letting us know formally of the reason why they have exited.
With that being state, we do need new members and I would like to challenge all our current members to look through their networks and see whom may be a good fit. This organization thrives when we have 18 -22 active members and everyone wins.
We are looking for people in the following areas
- Landscaping
- Car sales
- Business development/ coaching
- Roofing/ Siding/ Windows
- Plumbers
- Commercial realtor
- Title company
- Life Insurance (only life insurance)
- Bankruptcy attorney
- Promotional items/ marketing/ Printed materials
- Dentist
- Athletic trainer
- Chiropractor
- HVAC
The list can continue to grow, but some ideas of members we have had historically that have received opportunities
Lastly, we do want to start updating the images to the website over the next 2-4 meetings as some of our images have become aged. If anyone does have a nice Camera that we can use on Friday Mornings – that would be great!
