The ether is not just entrained, but also entraining. Since Earth is entrained by gravity from distant bodies we only see the contribution to gravity that is caused by Earth. This is only approximately true, since gravities from the Sun and the Moon are slightly changing over our planet. This small effect is the cause of tides.

Separation between atoms in a crystal is controlled by 2 anti-parallel fields. In Michelson's tests the ether wind acts on 2 fields in anti-parallel motions. Therefore, Michelson's tests are USELESS due to compensation. He failed to detect a Sagnac effect of second order and created a lot of confusion.

SINCE FIRST ORDER SAGNAC EFFECT IS DETECTED WE SHOULD FORGET MICHELSON'S FAILURES REGARDING SECOND ORDER SAGNAC EFFECT.
