• The Compton effect is explained in two steps:
• First: radiation causes an electron escape.
• Second: capturing the electron generates radiation.
• Photoelectric effect and Compton effect are explained by the wave model.
• We do not need the particle model for light.
• Particles needed only in the ether model.
