The gameplay in this new version is virtually identical to the original, and your mission is still to get the three candies that appear in each level into Om Nom's mouth. However, this time, thanks to the introduction of time travel, the task becomes a more complicated and the puzzles even more fun.

Cut the Rope: Time Travel is a Cut the Rope game that was released on April 18, 2013. It shows Om Nom travelling back to the time of his ancestors. In terms of gameplay, the player now has to feed candy to two monsters rather than to only one.

Unlike the original game, boxes now contain 15 levels each. The story begins in 2013, when a time machine appears in Om Nom's room while he is trying to eat a piece of candy. The time machine opens and sucks in Om Nom's candy. The little creature tries to get it back, but is sucked into the time machine. He appears too fat to get through. He tries to push himself out, but is sucked back in, making Om Nom start a journey through several epoques. As of February 2017, the game features 12 time periods (2 unreleased).

It's been a while since the last Cut The Rope game but the little green creature has explored many places as evidenced by Cut The Rope: Time Travel. This time our little buddy has gotten into a lab and messed around with a machine. While trying to check it out, he accidentally activated it and revealed it as a time machine. Now the little guy is being sent all over history where there is no shortage of candy or ancestors to meet. It's up to you to make the best of his sci-fi journey by making sure he's well-fed with candy.

Time travel has become a staple when it comes to sequels and variations on IPs, but it can also serve as an entertaining setting for gameplay. That's what's happening in this game with all the levels being replaced with new historical sets. It still keeps the core of what makes Cut The Rope great but switches up the context, the environments, and the challenge for each level. It's on the shorter side when compared to other games in the series, but that doesn't make it any less fun to play through. It's time to travel for more sweets and ropes.

Like with all the other Cut The Rope games, the base mechanics are here. Each level will have the candy suspended or held in place by something (usually a rope) and you'll need to guide it to Om Nom's mouth. The candy is affected by physics like gravity, momentum, and friction. Objects that you can use in the level can include elastic ropes, bubbles, air cushions, attachable pins, and such. New objects like spinning blades on ropes will appear as you progress. There can also be dangerous objects that can destroy the candy on contact. If that happens or if the candy leaves the screen, you'll need to restart the level.

The new gimmick (or mechanic) is that each time period serves as a world with its own set of levels and has one of Om Nom's ancestors. That means that you'll need to feed both Om Nom and his ancestor with the two available candies. This effectively turns the candies themselves into a new object that can be used.

Since there are now two candies to work with, this gives you a mobile tool to manipulate. Candies can be knocked into each to get them to move in certain ways, so consider their position before you start cutting ropes. The placement of the candies and the Om Noms is always your strongest clue as to how you can proceed.

Cut the Rope: Time Travel is a physics-based puzzle video game developed by ZeptoLab for the iOS, Android and web browsers. A third entry in the Cut the Rope series, it follows Om Nom going through time.

Time Travel shares the main idea with the previous games in the series,[1] where the players must cut the ropes with swipes in order for Om Nom to get the candy. However, the game adds Om Nom's ancestors (or descendant in the future levels), which means there are now two candies for two Noms in each level. That leads to the puzzles where the players will have to plan to feed both creatures at the same time.[2]

Centered around time travel, the game consists of various time periods, from the Middle Ages to the Stone Age. Each one of them regularly add new obstacles and mechanisms to be used.[2] Some of those are: the chains can hold up candies requiring to be cut by a blade, freeze button that stops any movement on the screen, bombs that will send everything in its radius up, and others.[4]

But this time, with the addition of time travel, the task is more challenging and the puzzles are even more enjoyable. Cut the Rope: Time Travel also lets players travel to six new, entertaining historical eras, including the Renaissance, the Middle Ages, the Pirates era, ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, and the Stone Age, in addition to the new puzzles, which now involve a variety of new elements like helices, chains, bombs, and portals. Of course, each era has its own distinct qualities.

If you thought Om Nom's love of candy could be contained to the here and now, think again. ZeptoLab's famous green little monster is going on an adventure like never before in the latest installment in the Cut the Rope franchise: Cut the Rope: Time Travel.

From the Roman era of Caesar to the prehistoric time of the dinosaurs, Om Nom is ready to track down candy and stars through a variety of new levels. Each stage contains a variety of obstacles both new and old, from wind blowers and ropes to spike bars and warp tunnels. What's more, since Om Nom is now traveling back in time, you'll frequently find yourself confronted with a second Om Nom, decked out in the fashion of the times (like a hat and mustache in the pirate-themed world).

Like the previous rope-cutting extravaganzas, Time Travel is all about feeding candies to the Om-Nom, an adorable alien critter with an insatiable appetite for sweets. Said candies dangle from the ends of ropes, and you swipe your finger over those ropes to cut them and send the candies swinging into the mouth of the Om-Nom waiting patiently nearby.

Levels are arranged according to themed time periods. To complete a level, you must feed both Om-Noms a piece of candy. Early on, passing a stage is as simple as cutting ropes and watching them swing like pendulums into the gullets of the little buggers.

New gameplay elements are introduced frequently throughout the six time periods. Portals alter the path of candy, clock hands can be rotated to affect the placement of objects, and flying pieces of candy mimic the path of standard pieces. I enjoyed all of these new elements, and they interact well with each other, as well as with previously introduced objects like rockets and bounce pads. No element is dwelled upon long enough to become tiresome, as each stage offers a novel challenge.

The game adds a number of new elements to the physics-based puzzler, which still tasks you with collecting stars while maneuvering a piece of candy into Om Nom's awaiting mouth. The game sends Om Nom through time to visit his similarly hungry ancestors, which the player must also feed to clear each stage. The title is available for iPhones and Android phones for $0.99, while an HD version for tablets costs $2.99.

Zepto Labs just released a new update for its popular Cut the Rope: Time Travel game. Now you can travel back in time to the Disco Era, complete with shiny disco balls and a groovy, disco-flavored soundtrack.

Judging by both the name and the teaser, Cut the Rope: Time Travel could incorporate some sort of time travel, opening door (theoretically) to a wide array of settings and backgrounds, including zero-gravity space.

The Cut the Rope series has perfected the physics of a swinging length of string. The curls and flops of the various lengths of rope you slice through have always been satisfyingly weighty, and each drop and sway has felt honest and fair.

That's a tradition that continues in Cut the Rope: Time Travel. No matter the time period Om Nom finds himself in, he - and you - can always rely on the severed ropes doing exactly what you'd expect them to.

The big twist to the formula this time round is the addition of another Om Nom. There are six periods of history to play through, and each one has their own version of the little green monster. So the renaissance Om Nom has a pointy moustache and a big hat, while Stone Age Om Nom is podgier and more devolved.
