Hi everyone,
There is a page on Facebook called La Trobe StalkerSpace. It is a page
with around 7000 members and is used as a forum for students.
In the last few days however several students have compared their
exams to being raped. One thread which was written by law students who
seemed to think it was okay to joke about rape because they were law
students and understood the law.
Several individuals wrote on the comments that joking about rape was
unacceptable, they were told to lighten up amongst other things.
Obviously this is vile and beyond offensive. The administrators are
not doing their jobs which is a disgrace.
If you have a few spare minutes at some stage, reporting this page
would greatly help us (and I would suggest checking their isn't a
similar page relating to your campus).
We are currently in contact with senior management as well as the
heads of school of the students who have written particularly
offensive posts.
