**APOLOGIES FOR CROSS POSTINGS**
To the Women of the World,
I hope this email finds you all happy and well. O weeks start for a couple (not very many) of you today and for the rest of you next week or the week after. As you are hopefully aware the big first campaign for O weeks is the Safety on Campus campaign. Materials for that should be on route to either your State NUS Women's officer or via National Office Barer that is coming to your O weeks.
The materials are posters and stickers around safety but also the 'Boycott Sexism' series which was released in 2009 and 2010. If you have not received these and I have not spoken to you by Wednesday please contact me and we'll work out what's the go by then.
Attached is a very simple petition which those of you that are running the campaign need to get people to sign. It calls on the universities to implement the Safety Blueprint and Talk About It recommendations. There will also be an online petition which is due to go live later today.
For a copy of the Survey and recommendations please go to
nuswomens.wordpress.com and click on the 'resources' tab.
I also didn't receive many photos from any of you for the safety video. Anyone who wants to make this up to me/get the video made could think about making the posters and getting students to take photos with them. This would be a really good way to engage with students and also get the video made.
I've attached the petition, the instructions for the video and the image waiver to this email.
As always, any questions please don't hesitate to call me on 0403 9869 10.
