Dear Friends,

There is no reason at all to spend any money at fixya.com to address
this problem. At first I thought it was a permissions issue (Mac OSX
10.6.2 Snow Leopard) but after running "repair permissions" from the
OSX Disk Utility, it did not resolve the issue. Also, simply removing
the old Now Contact Preferences file did not work either (file path =
YourUserName/Library/Preferences/Now Contact™ Prefs/Now Contact™ Prefs
(4.0) ).

SOLUTION: Drag the entire directory "Now Contact™ Prefs" from
YourUserName/Library/Preferences/Now Contact™ Prefs/ to the desktop.
Then launch Now Contact 4.0. It will create a new Now Contact™ Prefs
directory with a new preferences file in it.

If you have done a lot of work customizing Now Contact for your use,
you can restore the old prefs file saved in the directory on your
desktop:
First, quit Now Contact 4.0. Then copy and paste your old Now Contact™
Prefs (4.0) file from the directory on the desktop to the newly
created directory in YourUserName/Library/Preferences/Now Contact™
Prefs/. That will restore all your Now Contact prefs (such as font
prefs and field definitions, etc., if any).

Cheers,

Joe Space
