So, NowX is dead. Just great.

What are the Mac OS X alternatives?

MarketCircle's Daylite.
Objective Decision's Contactizer Pro.
BusyMac's BusyCal
Apple's iCal and Address Book.

There are also:
Arten Science's Contax
BadDogApps' bdContact and bdCalendar
CRM's CRM+

Hi,

We have used a few of these. I would Say Daylite is the one that is
going places - that company keep getting awards.

As a Daylite Partner, I am biased, but at one point long ago I was
also a Now user. It is difficult to provide a 'blanket' answer to a
question asking about alternatives. Perhaps talking with a consultant
that knows the Mac business market might help. We try to look at the
specific requirements of any individual or business that we deal with
and fit the solution to their requirements.

Is Entourage a possible calendar and addressbook alternative for a
single user? After straddling NOW for cal/contacts, Entourage for
email and OmniFocus for ToDos it would be nice to find a silver lining
in this situation by reducing my software load. I do wish the iPhone
allowed for separate contact lists for different email accounts like
Entourage does but.... (It's amazing how we all accommodate
workarounds and inconveniences without blinking an eye.)

Entourage is going to be on its deathbed Microsoft announced that they
will be reviving Outlook for Mac again.

However 1) Its Microsoft and 2) They have a track record of
producing some poor quality first versions.

also for AddressBook and Ical. If you are looking for an inexpensive
server you can use:

I have a five user version that he was giving away for free and was
going to test it.

If you are just looking for easy Addressbook sharing. This guy has a
good product that works well. We used it and the server was 20.00

However it doesn't support SnowLeopard users yet. They are looking
into a fix for it.
