Newbie: TTMLIS - starting out with noVNC

I've got TightVNC running on a system on my intranet, so far so good. Now, proposed next step: get the demo going. I think I need websockify running…somewhere…on my intranet. Can I just install it on my desktop, and point the demo at it? Can that work? What parameters do I give websockify?

And, yes, that works; I set up a Python virtual environment installed winsockify (using pip! "python setup.py install" is gone!) and signed into my Windows system. For my next trick, I will get winsockify going on my Synology… I hope.
